Travel to Costa Rica: Hotel Reviews

The Best Western, Costa Rica Rating: 3.5/5 Stars It was only 15 minutes away from the airport and right in the middle of the city. I felt as though it was a nice transition from being in the U.S. to being in a different country since it is a big, international hotel chain. Everyone we spoke with spoke perfect English but they were also locals so they were open to sharing any advice you might need. The rooms were pretty average and clean with a great view of the courtyard and pool area at the center of the hotel. We swam in the pool during the day (very clean and well kept) and the hot tub was located to the side, a little more private, with an 'infinity pool' kind of feel. Overall, it was a simple hotel that offered just enough for us. Lomas del Volcan, San Carlos Rating: 4/5 Stars To this day, it has been one of the most unique and memorable places I have ever stayed. It might seem sketchy when you have to go off the main road and drive up this dirt trail on an inc...

Seven Secrets To Finding Great Hotels in Brenham

If you happen to be traveling in the state of Texas, and you just happen to be either on I-35, I-45, or I-10, you've likely found yourself wondering where it is that you can stop for the night as you travel. Lucky for you, there is a city tucked into the triangle made by these particular thoroughfares (perhaps the busiest in the Lone Star State) called Brenham, Texas. And if you stay in any of the hotels in Brenham, you will be doing yourself a favor. Brenham is really the heart of Washington County, an area of Texas that is perhaps the most significant part of the state's history. Brenham is small (an area of about nine square miles), but over the last five decades has doubled its population. Given that it is home to Blue Bell Ice Cream, and is a great midpoint for those traveling between Austin & Houston, Brenham is perhaps best thought of as a nice reminder of small-town life in Texas with big-city glitz just a short drive away. Brenham happens to be home to so...

Earlie Beach and The Golden Plover

Earlie Beach is a little town with about 1.300 people, in Queensland, Australia, along the Whitsunday Coast. It's the gateway to the unparalleled Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. It's very popular with backpackers... and I was one of them! After arriving in the famous locality, I spent a couple of days relaxing and having a look around, trying to find out what could interest me in the area. I simply loved the feeling of being careless free, fortunate to be in this superb part of the world. One day, I do not remember if I was in a backpacker or in a pub, I saw an advertisement on the wall that unchained my imagination. The image of wonderful tall ship with all its sails unfurled appeared in front of me. A comment said that being on it would have been an adventure of a life time experience. It was about a week cruise around the Whitsundays, a collection of 74 continental islands in the North-East Coast of Queensland. I was hooked. I knew that I...
